region. India, however, continues to be relatively stable with low active cases,
but experts note that vigilance is crucial. The flare-up, which is influenced
primarily by the highly contagious JN.1 Omicron subvariant, reinforces the need
for continued prevention through mask use, sanitation protocols, and boosters.
